June Event: Pre-session Assessment Best Practices

This session will cover the ins and outs of good assessment prior to a psychedelic therapy. The presenter will provide an example of an intake form, with an explanation of why certain questions are important, and provide resources for participants for further learning. The presenter will give case examples of how assessment can set a practitioner up for an effective session or a difficult one.

Joy Redstone is a licensed clinical social worker and addiction counselor who served as the Director of the Counseling Center at Naropa University and worked as adjunct faculty at Naropa and University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. She is a writer and artist. She served as the Executive Director of Bridge House for 7 years. She has been doing psychedelic therapy for 8 years and loves the work passionately.
