Consultation Group: Ceremony Skills for Psychedelic Practitioners

Ceremony is often highlighted as pivotally important to maintaining a safe energetic space in psychedelic work, yet with concerns about cultural appropriation and the widespread impacts of religious trauma in American culture, it can be hard to know where to start. Join Dylan Rivard in a 6-session consultation group in which you will learn and establish foundational ceremonial skills that can ensure efficacy while being grounded in your own direct relationship to spirit and spirituality.

Week 2: Energetic Protection & Hygiene

Week 3: Creating Sacred Space

Week 4: Spiritual Interventions, Working with the Elements

Week 5: Connecting with Allies

Week 6: Review and Integration

This 6-session virtual group will meet for 2 hours every other week on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm MST starting on January 13th; open to clinical and wellness facilitators.  The cost for all 6 sessions (12 consultation hours) is $695. This equates to about $58 per consultation hour.

Tuesday dates include: January 13, January 27, February 10, February 24, March 10, and March 24, 2026

A completed consultation form for 12 hours will be provided at the end of the group to submit as part of the 40 hours of required consultation for anyone with a NMIT license. Participants should not sign up for this group unless they are sure they can attend at least 5 of 6 session dates. This group will have no more than 10 participants.

Dylan Rivard, MA, LPC (he/his) was born in the forests of Indiana, and grew up playing in creeks, catching fireflies, and wondering whether or not dragons really did live in the leaves of the trees in his backyard. Raised in a spiritually eclectic household, Dylan developed a lifelong fascination with prayer, ritual, healing, and our connection to the divine and nature. This led him to pursue work in outdoor recreation, psychology, and spirituality, culminating in a MA in Transpersonal Psychotherapy with a Wilderness Therapy focus from Naropa University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, as well as a Certified Hakomi Therapist. He has trained with the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI), and assisted in the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s Psychedelic Therapy Certification. He serves as faculty for trainings with both Elemental Psychedelics and The Congregation of Sacred Practices, as well as formerly on the board of The Nowak Society; a Colorado based non-profit focused on psychedelic advocacy and public education. With over 10 years of experience in mental health, he runs his own private practice where he serves clients working through trauma, grief, and spiritual growth. He lives in the foothills of Golden, CO, where he is grateful to share the land with his husband, their animals, and myriad turkeys, deer, and ponderosa pines.
