About the event
This six-week consultation group with Dylan Rivard is designed for natural medicine facilitators-in-training who are ready to deepen their own spiritual foundation for natural medicine work. Rooted in an animist worldview that honors the life and wisdom in all things, this group draws from a cross-cultural tapestry of spiritual traditions without privileging any single path. In this consultation group, expect inner-directed meditations, movement, journaling, poetry, and group sharing; helping you leave with lived experience you can authentically bring to your clients.
This group begins with our own spiritual biography and sense of self, learning to create and hold sacred space, and developing the capacity to navigate inner worlds and visionary experience. We then open into relationship with allies, ancestors, plant and animal spirits, and archetypal powers, before turning to altars and sacred objects as tools for intention-setting and client support. We will also explorate the ethical questions that arise at the intersection of spirituality and clinical practice — including how to honor a client's worldview, navigate conflicts between spiritual and psychiatric frameworks, and maintain integrity when one's own beliefs enter the room.
This 6-session virtual group will meet for 2 hours twice monthly and is open to both clinical and wellness facilitators. The cost for all 6 sessions (12 consultation hours) is $695. This equates to about $58 per consultation hour. Exact group dates are: Aug 11, Aug 25, Sept 8, Sept 22, Oct 6, Oct 20, from 9am-11am MT. Participants should not sign up for this group unless they are sure they can attend at least 5 of 6 session dates.
A completed consultation form for 12 hours will be provided at the end of the group to submit as part of the 40 hours of required consultation for anyone with a NMIT license. This group will have no more than 10 participants.
To join this consultation group or to stay on the interest list for a later offering of this consultation group, submit your RSVP. We will contact you with a registration form and deposit link to confirm your space.

Dylan Rivard, MA, LPC (he/his) was born in the forests of Indiana, and grew up playing in creeks, catching fireflies, and wondering whether or not dragons really did live in the leaves of the trees in his backyard. Raised in a spiritually eclectic household, Dylan developed a lifelong fascination with prayer, ritual, healing, and our connection to the divine and nature. This led him to pursue work in outdoor recreation, psychology, and spirituality, culminating in a MA in Transpersonal Psychotherapy with a Wilderness Therapy focus from Naropa University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, as well as a Certified Hakomi Therapist. He has trained with the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI), and assisted in the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s Psychedelic Therapy Certification. He serves as faculty for trainings with both Elemental Psychedelics and The Congregation of Sacred Practices, as well as formerly on the board of The Nowak Society; a Colorado based non-profit focused on psychedelic advocacy and public education. With over 10 years of experience in mental health, he runs his own private practice where he serves clients working through trauma, grief, and spiritual growth. He lives in the foothills of Golden, CO, where he is grateful to share the land with his husband, their animals, and myriad turkeys, deer, and ponderosa pines.
We hope you will consider joining us for this very special Elemental consultation group!
