Gabriel DeRita

Gabriel DeRita (he/him/his) is a professional coach and support faculty for Elemental Psychedelics. He has been working with psychedelics in his personal and professional life for over a decade. Teaching subjects related to personal growth and adult development is his full time role as a leadership development trainer and facilitator. He has experience teaching complex subjects to adult learners in a variety of contexts and has led dozens of trainings, groups, retreats, and workshops. In many of these contexts, Gabe’s role has been to lead in both the development and delivery of the program. He has over 1,500 hours of paid 1:1 coaching experience, focusing on personal and professional development, as well as over 350 hours of paid facilitation experience with groups virtually and in-person. He holds a Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coach Federation, and has trained in harm reduction and trip-sitting with Zendo Project, Tam Integration, and others. Within the psychedelic space, Gabe focuses on non-clinical use of psychedelics for personal growth. Many of his 1:1 clients incorporate psychedelics into their coaching work. He has held space for dozens of people in groups and 1:1 non-clinical psychedelic ceremonies and has co-led several multi-day in-person psychedelic retreats that include non-clinical psychedelic journeys and integration sessions. Gabe also hosts regular public psychedelic integration circles online, has been a guest teacher in courses on psychedelic integration and trip-sitting, and has given talks at psychedelic conferences and public events on harm reduction, non-clinical use, integration, and working with psychedelics for personal growth. Gabe loves building community and is thrilled to serve as Elemental’s alumni community-builder!
